Maya’s Taqueria - Authentic Mexican Food

This place consistently serves up quality, fresh Mexican food that hits the spot every time. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a friendly staff that truly listens to your requests and takes pride in their craft. It’s my go-to spot, even if it’s a bit out of the way—definitely worth the trip. Pure comfort food at its best!

I drove out to an unfamiliar area and by the end of my visit I was super hungry. I saw a few Mexican food places on the way there so I searched for Mexican places nearby and the pictures of the food here looked awesome and it seemed affordable. It wasn’t what I expected and there isn’t a lot of places to sit- quite small, but the person at the front was the sweetest and great at taking the orders and was overall very good at his job. He was so pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu and was just lovely. The food was amazing and affordable. So many different unique options and it was all so fresh and delicious. If I lived closer I would be there all the time. This is a truly great place to eat and I so enjoyed my evening meal there. I only wish for them to grow and get a larger place someday! They deserve it. Thank you Maya’s and thank you to the young man with the round glasses who waited on customers and tended to everyone’s needs so well.

Don't just walk..RUN to this place! This place is the real mexican deal. As the name says, authentic Mexican. By surprise we ran into this place and we are so happy we did. Small family owned and from the moment we sat down, we were well attended and the salsa and chips were so fresh. I knew we were in for a real treat. They have been opened for a year and I will continue to come and support small business. I got the red chilaquiles (very traditional breakfast dish) with red sauce. It is very spicy but very flavorful. The other dish is chicken enchiladas with a green sauce. Fresh and tangy and then I got a side of roasted jalapenos. So I'm happy to say, this is my new favorite Mexican place near by! Come support this awesome new restaurant.

I just found out that this restaurant has really nice food. I love everything I ordered. The food is amazing and the portions are big. I started to come here often. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants.

This is a small, casual, takeout spot with a few tables (inside and out, if you’d like to stay and eat), but MOST IMPORTANTLY, their tacos are EXCELLENT! I had the vegetarian ones and was surprised at how flavorful they were. Also, the host/server Jeffrey was great! He was very attentive and gave us advice on which tacos to pick. WE WILL BE BACK!

I usually order uber eats but today I decided to drive down for a sit down. Food is great as per usual, service is amazing too, you get a free nachos . I will deff go more doten for a sit down . Highly recommend

Wonderful taqueria with large portion sizes and thoughtful staff. I've eaten TexMex all my life, and this is some top tier food. Even the beans were tasty (which many Mexican restaurants don't put much effort into). The aftertaste was comfortable, which is something I value a lot with restaurant food. Also, even though we dined in, they gave us containers that seal reliably for takeout and speedy, near-perfect service. When my parents visit the area, I really want to take them here. The only tricky factor is that the taqueria is not very big. With 3-4 tables for guests, I suppose most of the frequent guests do takeout. We went around 2 PM and there was basically no room for more in-person guests. I would say it's good to visit if you don't mind roaming around Pleasantville if there's no space. I don't have a particular item I recommend. It was nice to have a salad, but in the words of Eunie from Xenoblade Chronicles 3, should have sought something a little meatier. There's a nice pairing of flavors, especially fresh ingredients, and with their cooking being better than my own, it was a bang for the buck. Since portion sizes are large, you really don't need an appetizer to be full. Flavors are very savory and sweet. There is a tinge of dryness, but the profile of flavors outweighs that. Appreciated the complimentary nachos and mint. Edit: Visited again! Still delicious, but realized that the beans and rice are essential for squashing any potential oiliness in the aftertaste. Staff were kind & professional even though we intruded on holiday (Cinco de Mayo!).

Cozy and clean, staff are friendly, food is amazing! Glad we found this place! The best nacho fries that we've ever had!
